Weather & Water Conditions

Safe boating depends upon the weather and water conditions. To assure the safety of you and your boating party, please check the weather and water conditions before imbarking on large bodies of water. This precaution is crucial for a safe and enjoyable boat outing. We have included the following links to direct you to weather and water conditions.

  • NOAA Weather Conditions for Wisconsin
  • Weekly water levels forecast at the Detroit District Hydraulics and Hydrology

Water flow site by NOAA:

  • Green Bay
  • Appleton
  • Little Lake Butte des Morts
  • Menasha
  • Oshkosh at Lake Winnebago
  • Oshkosh at Fox River
  • Berlin

Always check river hydrology levels before boating. If water levels exceed Action Stage Level it may be unsafe.
